- Abstract
The article examines the efficiency of integral closure computation in cyclic extensions of global fields and the determination of Galois groups for polynomials over global function fields. Topics discussed include basis for designing efficient algorithms for algebraic curves, development of methods to compute integral closures, Galois groups, and class and unit groups, and computation of Riemann-Roch spaces of divisors and the genus.
