- Abstract
The TESOLANZ Journal is transitioning from a paper edition to a digital format in order to be more sustainable and align with other journals in the field. The 2024 issue includes three articles that will be of interest to ESOL teachers and language teaching researchers. The first article by Thy Phan focuses on a needs analysis for migrant care workers in New Zealand aged care contexts, highlighting the importance of relational talk in building positive relationships with elderly New Zealanders. The second article by Naheen Madarbakus-Ring explores learners' listening resource preferences and their attitudes and approaches to listening difficulties. The third article by Loc Nguyen examines the pronunciation teaching practices of Vietnamese secondary EFL teachers and finds that they are insufficiently trained in this area. The issue also includes book reviews and announces that Oliver Ballance will take over as editor of the journal in 2024.
