Unproctored Online Testing: Environmental Conditions and Validity.
- Authors
WEINER, JOHN A; MORRISON, JOHN D
- Abstract
The article explores several important questions regarding the possible impact of the testing environment and conditions upon examinee perceptions, assessment scores and validity in an employment setting. They noted that the term unproctored was used to mean the unsupervised administration, without full authentication of the examinee's identity. It states that the study aims to stimulate further research that raises questions and help guide practice. It shows association between test administration and candidate perceptions of the testing environment as well as the relation between candidate perceptions of the testing environment and test scores.
