- Abstract
The article focuses on the archaeological site of An Son in Vietnam which dates from the Neolithic period. The article discusses the location of An Son near the Vam Co Don river in Southern Vietnam, its initial discovery by archaeologists Louis Malleret and Paul Levy in 1938 and its first excavation in 1978. The article goes on to discuss the excavation led by the authors, burials found at the site and the use of radiocarbon dating.
