- Abstract
CT imaging is likely the next imaging modality as was done in this patient, but CT may not be able to differentiate influenced tumor from thrombi and other artifacts. In our case, the high metabolic intracardiac tissue shown by FDG PET/CT was significantly larger than that shown by CT and echocardiography. PET-FDG PET/CT imaging can detect lesions with high glucose metabolism that are difficult to be detected by CT and echocardiography and thus aid in patient management.
