- Authors
Aksan, N.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the international standard problems (ISPs) promoted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation & Development/Nuclear Energy Agency Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI) to perform safety and licensing analysis of nuclear power plants activities. It notes that the ISP exercises aim to increase confidence in the validity of the different tools used in assessing the safety of nuclear installations. Moreover, it states that ISP exercises can be considered as a complimentary activity such as assessing the codes through the analysis of experts different from code developers or coverering much wider ranges in terms of thermal-hydraulics settings and value of parameters.
