- Abstract
The article discusses the roles of the United Nations (U.N.) Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Seas (UNCLOS) as alternative approaches to mitigate the harm caused by carbon dioxide-based ocean acidification as of January 2012. The World Trade Organization and marine space protection are addressed, along with international marine pollution control regulations and international dispute resolution mechanisms.
