- Abstract
The author discusses food ingredients and supplement changes to cope with the adequate nutrition requirement due to the increasing knowledge in people in diet and health. The author mentions that optimal nutrition has replaced the concept of optimal nutrition which focuse more on individual's nutritional needs to obtain optimum physiological purposes. The author reflects that healthful food ingredients can be considered as tool in promoting global health strategy against diseases like obesity.
