The article focuses on historical, legal, and regulatory context of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the case Moncrieffe v. Holder which characterize the between the criminal justice system and immigration enforcement. Topics discussed include racial dynamics of plaintiff Adrian Moncrieffe's original stop, search, arrest, and conviction, racial profiling in traffic stops with war on drugs, and racially disparate impacts of the criminal justice system exacerbate immigration removal system.
