Bones of contention.
- Authors
Gessell, Paul
- Abstract
The article reports on the controversy arising from the use of human bones in the art exhibition "Witness" by nichola feldman-kiss at Ottawa Art Gallery in Ontario, which opened on October 1, 2015. Feldman-kiss purchased an imported human skeleton online from medical supply company Osta International and included it in the installation "Between Here and There." Art curator Stephan St-Laurent says it is almost sacrilegious to dig human bodies and put them on public display.
