- Abstract
This research analyzes the applicability of the UX methodology in the educational field, focusing on students of architecture, journalism and the Master of Strategic and Digital Communication in Chile, from the Metropolitan Technological University and the Finis Terrae University. The UX methodology, focused on designing products and services that satisfy the needs and expectations of the user, was deployed in five phases (Define, analyze, design, prototype and test), following the principles of the Bauhaus School and the visual techniques of Dondis. to encourage creativity. The results of the study indicate that the UX methodology is effective in developing creativity and innovation in students from various disciplines, promoting coherence in design actions and considering user needs in an interdisciplinary manner. In addition, it strengthens creative thinking and improves students' academic and work skills, providing tools for design, prototyping and project research. It is concluded that creativity from innovation projects impacts student learning, addressing the nature of the course and promoting cognitive skills, driving students towards higher levels of demand, such as the redesign of projects, fulfilling a systemic process, of logical phases, strengthening thus their academic development.
