- Abstract
This document is a response to comments on an article titled "Changing landscape of alcohol-associated liver disease in younger individuals, women, and ethnic minorities." The authors thank Dr. Chong-Chi Chiu and colleagues for their comments and agree with their observations on the evolving patterns of alcohol consumption among women. They acknowledge the need for targeted prevention and treatment strategies that address the unique vulnerabilities of female drinkers, including physiological differences and hormonal factors. The authors also emphasize the role of cultural dynamics and call for more research to understand specific risk factors and protective measures for women. They express their commitment to continuing research in this area to develop effective strategies for reducing the burden of alcohol-associated liver disease among high-risk populations, including women.
