- Abstract
The article discusses the legal principle of authentication in relation to the admissibility of web-based evidence in the U.S. as of December 2013, focusing on America's Federal Rules of Evidence, motions for summary judgment, and electronic evidence that is obtained from websites and social-networking pages. Other topics include hearsay evidence, the Facebook social networking service, and the relationship between law and technology. The U.S. Constitution's Confrontation Clause is examined.
