- Abstract
Chemically crosslinked elastomer poly(xylitol sebacate)(PXS) is for the first time electrospun into fibrous mats. The PXS2:5 fibre mats show nonlinear J‐shaped stress‐strain curves, with large average rupture elongation (≈75%). The newly developed porous PXS scaffolds show tissue‐like mechanical properties and excellent biocompatibility, making them very promising for bioengineering of very soft tissues and organs.
