- Abstract
Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer, an Indigenous scholar, has been recognized for her work on Indigenous knowledge, ecology, and environmental stewardship with a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship. Her concept of "braiding" Indigenous and Western knowledge systems has increased the visibility and validity of Indigenous worldviews in science. Two Indigenous scholars share their personal experiences of how Kimmerer's work has inspired them and influenced their own research. They express gratitude for her contributions and hope that future generations of Indigenous scholars will continue to make important contributions in their fields.
