- Authors
Perkes, Victor A.
- Abstract
The article examines the relationship between the amount of academic work in science and its branches of junior high school science teachers and student achievement. The author also attempts to distinguish the difference between student achievement in the ability to recall factual knowledge of junior high school science in general and in its branches; and the ability to make applications of their knowledge. He then analyzes science teaching behavior as a function of a number of possible parameters, among which is teacher preparation, and student achievement is related to teaching behavior.
