- Abstract
The article focuses on the challenges faced by science education researchers in the U.S. Scholars in science education have discussed about a science conception that empowers the public to interact with science intelligently. According to these scholars, science is not an unmitigated good. The aims of science education should be the subject of critical inquiry. One of the main role of science education is to generate good test scores. The biggest struggle in science education in the U.S. schools is over the teaching of evolution by natural selection.
