- Abstract
The article cites a study from the U.S. which evaluates the curriculum changes in junior high school earth science using standardized achievement test batteries. The study aims to demonstrate the insensitivity of the science portion of selected standardized achievement test batteries in assessing the effectiveness of curriculum changes in Earth Science. It also suggests that evaluation techniques and instrumentation are vital tool to an effective, accurate assessment on selected standardized achievement test batteries.
