- Abstract
The article discusses Russian Red Army soldiers' and officers' views on the Jewish Holocaust of 1939-1945. According to the author, the opinions of Red Army personnel largely mirrored the views which dominated in Russian society as a whole. Particular focus is given to Russocentrism, statism, and the Soviet regime's policies regarding ethnic minorities. Topics discussed include antisemitism and Red Army perceptions of the Nazi regime.
