- Abstract
In order to study sulfur dioxide (SO2) exposure and health protection, this study was unfolded to establish the identification technology of SO2 health risk zone based on the scenario exposure analysis of land-use parameters and emission prediction. Taking a typical industrial park in the west as an example, a scenario exposure document for the land-use was set up by the survey of the local land-use types and people's exposure patterns. After bridging the spatial geography factors with the data of the emission prediction and scenario exposure parameters, the technique of regional exposure amount was thus formed, and it was used to ascertain the SO2 health risk zones. The results indicated that there were some differences between the health risk zones and the pollutants distribution on spatial after adopting the land-use scenario exposure parameters (p<0.05). Compared to 0.045 mg/m³, an annual average concentration of SO2 from the monitoring station (relative geographic coordinates X 1 804, Y 423), the level of SO2 in the highest health risk zone (X 2 051, Y 335) was predicted as 0.425 mg/m³. These findings addressed the greatly bias between the health risk zone and the monitoring site after taking the scenario land-use exposure parameters into account. This technique could identify the health risk zone in more precision way as it weighed the practical exposure factors, and it could provide the targeted subjects for atmospheric risk control.
