- Abstract
The objective of the research was to identify invasive situations in professional relationships that generate discomfort in the work environment of a federal public organization. Theoretical and empirical qualitative research was carried out through an electronic questionnaire, with the participation of 143 respondents. The IRAMUTEQ tool was used to analyze the word cloud and the descending hierarchical classification, as well as the content analysis to detail the situations that generate annoyance. Six categories of invasive situations that generate embarrassment in the work environment were identified: physical contact; lack of corporate etiquette; form and content of communication; invasion of personal life; context/situation-dependent perception; physical proximity. The research contributes to the identification of aspects of work relationships that can be harmful to the work environment and can subsidize managers to establish people management policies that minimize such occurrences to generate a more pleasant work environment.
