- Abstract
The experiment was to investigate the effect of different levels of Clostridium butyricum in basic diet on antioxidant, digestive ability and non-specific immune function of hepatopancreas of Eriocheir sinensis juvenile. A total of 120 healthy crabs with similar vigour and average body weight of (4.50±0.75) g were randomly selected into four groups, with five replicates in each group and six crabs in each replicate. Eriocheir sinensis juvenile in control group (group G0) were fed with basic diet, and Eriocheir sinensis juvenile in experimental groups were fed with basic diet supplemented with 105 (group G5), 106 (group G6) and 107 CFU/g (group G7) of Clostridium butyricum, respectively. The experiment lasted for 40 d. The results showed that compared with control group, adding Clostridium butyricum in diet could improve the weight gain rate and specific growth rate of Eriocheir sinensis to a certain extent (P>0.05). Compared with control group, T-AOC of hepatopancreas in group G6 was significantly increased (P<0.05), and SOD activity in group G7 was significantly increased (P<0.05), hepatopancreas lipase activity in group G6 was significantly increased (P<0.05). The experiment indicates that 106 CFU/g of Clostridium butyricum has better effect on the antioxidant activity, digestive ability and non-specific immune function of hepatopancreas of Eriocheir sinensis juvenile.
