- Abstract
Due to unclear understanding of the impact of temperature profiles on gas reservoirs, it is still difficult to quantitatively evaluate the production profile of gas reservoirs based on distributed temperature sensing (DTS). In view of this, by establishing a temperature profile prediction model for multi production layer gas reservoirs considering various trace thermal effects and non isothermal seepage, the influence of multiple single factors on the temperature profile of multi production layer gas reservoirs was simulated and analyzed. Through orthogonal experimental analysis, the degree of influence of various single factors on the temperature profile of multi production gas reservoirs was evaluated as follows: permeability > production > water saturation > wellbore inclination angle > relative density of natural gas > reservoir thermal conductivity > wellbore radius. The dominant factors affecting the temperature profile of multi production gas reservoirs were determined to be permeability, production, and water saturation. The established temperature profile prediction model and the determination of the main control factors of the temperature profile have laid a theoretical foundation for the quantitative interpretation of gas reservoir production profiles based on DTS.
