- Abstract
In recent years,hybrid reinforced prestressed concrete pipe pile (PRC pipe pile),which is formed by adding non-prestressed reinforcement on the basis of traditional prestressed concrete pipe pile,has attracted the attention of scholars because of its better mechanical properties. In order to understand the research status of PRC pipe pile,the research achievements of flexural,shear and seismic performance of PRC pipe pile and its application cases in engineering are reviewed. It is expected to provide reference for the optimal design of PRC pipe piles. The survey results show that the PRC pipe pile has reached the good design expectation in foundation excavation support. Com‐ pared to conventional pipe piles,PRC pipe piles have significantly improved seismic performance,ductility and ultimate flexural capacity. However,the improvement in cracking and shearing capacity is not significant.
