- Title
Biological interactions at metal surfaces.
- Authors
Hansen, Douglas C.
- Abstract
dsorption of biomolecules, whether it is a consequence of a material being put into service in a biological medium such as a biomedical implant device or a heat exchanger tube, are governed by fundamental interactions and surface conditions that are well characterized (and in some cases not so well). This work reviews those fundamental interactions and also describes a study of the adsorption of a naturally occurring biological polymer onto a stainless steel alloy.
