- Abstract
The article focuses on various considerations in constructing houses in an extremely cold climate in Arctic regions. It presents several considerations needed in house construction including the moisture flow of air leakage, vapor diffusion, vapor barrier, and air barrier. It details the preparation and process of building the extreme enclosure section, roof section, ventilation rafter, and extreme structural insulated panel section to adapt with the cold climate. It justifies the need to live and work in the arctic region considering the demand on energy resources, and envisions the house design for housing industry.
