- Abstract
The article explores the role of women and youth in the regime of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet through an examination of the workings of Chilean secretariats, or administrative departments. Particular focus is given to the Secretariat of Women and the Secretariat of Youth, both of which were controlled by the General Secretariat of Government, and their relationship with the central Chilean military government.
