- Abstract
The bioconcentration factor (BCF) and the accumulation threshold of tributyltin chloride (TBTCl) were calculated in whole body of Scutophagus argus, a native fish of Persian Gulf, by a 21-day oral intake experiment in artificial sea water. A capillary column gas chromatography was used and pretreated with a HBr-methanolic solution. TBTCl was extracted from the fish samples under the acidic condition. The detection limit of TBTCl was 0.1 ng g-1. BCF was found to increase when the concentration of TBTCl decreased.
