- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted to investigate the efficacy of second line antiretroviral therapy in resource limited settings.Researchers evaluated 73 HIV patients in Nigeria who received antiretroviral therapy which consisted of lopinavir/ritonavir plus nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. They found that there was a high degree of viral suppression in the patients at 12 months and little loss of viral suppression after 12 months.
