- Abstract
The article examines the use of framing in the Spanish media by using specific key words and phrases in order to construct a certain reality. It mentions how there are various modes of portraying subjective information, yet evidence exists regarding the concept of framing, or molding certain messages. The article explores the use of framing in three Spanish newspapers: "El País," "ABC" and "El Mundo" and how they all reported on the death and funeral of Princess Diana of Wales. Personality and editorial styles of each newspaper are studied and taken into consideration.
