- Abstract
This article presents information on contact dermatitis due to a natural plasticine. This new plasticine is advertised as a completely aseptic, atoxic product, harmless even if eaten. A 7-year-old girl had been affected for 3 months by vesicular scaly lesions of the palms, the interdigital spaces of both hands and the back of the left hand. The family history revealed that her mother had contact dermatitis. The parents reported that the lesions got worse when the child played with the plasticine and that she had also been using a moisturizing cream containing Kathon CG as a preservative.
