- Abstract
The article presents information on a research study which assesses the level of knowledge of AIDS among people in Australia. Degree of accurate knowledge of AIDS depends on several variables like marital status, age, personal knowledge of somebody in a risk category and occupation. The findings of the study suggest that lower levels of accurate knowledge about AIDS acts as a stimulus for the social and personal concern among people. Also there is more knowledge on health related issues among the youth as compared to the older members of the population.
