- Abstract
The article discusses the discovery and research into the MnBiTe family, specifically focusing on the compound MnBi2Te4. The compound's topological properties were revealed in 2019, leading to increased interest in studying the interplay between topological and magnetic orders in this family of materials. The article highlights four comprehensive reviews and three original research articles that provide insights into the crystal, magnetic, and band structures of MnBi2Te4, as well as the properties of thin films and transport phenomena. The research papers explore topics such as the topological magnetoelectric effect, the layer Hall effect, and the anomalous Hall resistivity in MnBi2Te4 thin films. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of deepening our understanding of the interplay between topological and magnetic orders and promoting the application of magnetic topological materials.
