- Abstract
The article discusses a survey of self-reported breast surgeons which revealed that there was no consensus for surgical treatment of Pleomorphic Lobular Carcinoma in Situ (PLCIS). PLCIS highlighted the multi-institutional collaborative efforts for examining data sets and clinical outcome data for understanding the true biologic significance of PLCIS. Classic Lobular Carcinoma in Situ (CLCIS) resulted in risk associated for the future development of breast cancer.
