The article presents the case of a 54-year-old postmenopausal woman in the U.S. who exhibited a nontender, freely mobile left breast mass. The lesion was characterized by a sonogram as a nonhomogeneous cystic mass. Biopsies revealed an infiltrating, poorly differentiated carcinoma with large-sized epithelial cells containing hyperchromatic and pleomorphic nuclei.
