- Abstract
This article discusses research advances on how children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy respond to upper extremity intervention. It explains that advances in knowledge when translated to practice will allow therapists to accurately and confidently select evidence-vased interventions guided by an understanding of the key characteristics of individual children. It presents information on two approaches to treating hemiplegia and these are uni-manual abnd bimanual.
