- Abstract
The article offers information on the evidence-based systematic review of probiotics. It says that probiotic supplementation during antibiotic therapy can reduce the adverse effect of antibiotics in the intestinal area. It states that atopic eczema/dermatitis syndrome in children can be prevented by probiotics and infants benefit in the probiotic intake of their mother during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It also notes that probiotic supplementation reduces fecal acidity in cirrhosis patients.
