- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of the new pest management in controlling coccinellids in California. Coccinellids are considered to have the strongest impact on plants among the groups of aphidophagous insects. Some important and effective methods in managing and controlling this kind of pest include the modifying of the cultivation scheme, breeding the plants resistance to fight againts aphids, defoliating the deciduous plants and attacking directly using insecticides. However, the use of chemical nature depends on these natural enemies.
