- Abstract
The article presents a speech by Chios Carmody, Canadian Director of the Canada-U.S. Law Institute, introducing the second day of the annual Canada-United States Law Institute Conference, titled "Understanding Each Other Across the Largest Undefended Border in History," on April 16, 2005 in Cleveland, Ohio. Carmody discusses some of the plans of the Institute. He also announces a conference on legal developments in the transport industry in North America that will be held on June 10, 2005 in Toronto.
