- Title
Canadian Suburban. Reimagining Space and Place in Postwar English Canadian Fiction.
- Authors
Harris, Richard
- Abstract
Recently, in Britain and the United States, Rupa Huq ([2]) and Robert Beuka ([1]) have inserted suburbs into the picture. Bringing this tradition closer to home, in I Canadian Suburban i Cheryl Cowdy explores how novelists have imagined postwar English-Canadian suburbs. Although her training and expertise is in the humanities, Cowdy makes effective use of what social scientists, including geographers, have said about postwar Canadian suburbs.
