- Abstract
There is no denying that we live in times of aversion to old age. As we increasingly value eternal joviality, the elderly's place in contemporary society is progressively diminished, erased. And what can we say about this pandemic moment, in which we have followed this population, hitherto invisible, to become the center of attention? For much of it, the coronavirus came as a harsh death sentence. Reflecting on the different old ages that coexist in our country contributes to thinking about the different ways of experiencing this pandemic. In general, we argue that the way the elderly have been treated in the context of a pandemic context says a lot about who we are as a society.
