- Abstract
The article presents a medical study to determine the association between myocardial injury and long-term mortality in patients following carbon monoxide poisoning. Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause toxicological morbidity and mortality. Myocardial injury is a frequent consequence. This study looks at adult patients treated for moderate to severe carbon monoxide poisoning. It is concluded that myocardial injury frequently occurs in patients hospitalized for moderate to severe carbon monoxide poisoning and is a predictor of mortality.
