- Title
The demise of the United Kingdom's Forensic Science Services (FSS): loss of world-leading engine of innovation and development in the forensic sciences.
- Abstract
The author comments on the decision of the government of Great Britain to discontinue the Forensic Science Services (FSS). He states that FSS has contributed greatly in the field of forensic DNA analysis and was among the first few countries to use DNA analysis in criminal investigations. According to him, the decision of the government was largely due to the changes in infrastructure caused by the privatization of the FSS. Also, he comments on the use of business models for forensic services.
