- Abstract
Death is a universal event and therefore the only human certainty; during the profession the nurse behavior follows save lives and prevent death but this is not always possible health professionals in generating frustration, sadness and loss. This study aimed to raise the difficulties faced by health professionals on the dying process in their everyday. It is a literature review through the database of SciELO (Scient ific Electronic Library Online) between the period 1992 to 2011 through scientific articles and books. It was concluded that despite the death being present every day in hospitals the team is not always prepared to deal with that moment which creates frustration, powerlessness and inability to all professionals involved in care.
