The article focuses on analysis of philosophical approaches of Roman Jakobson along with his significance in determination of Charles Sanders Peirce philosophy. Topics discussed include observation of Peirce's association with Ferdinand de Saussure in regard to their semiotics system; analysis of Peirce's work connection with Saussure by Umberto Eco; and observation of an opposition and conflicts between acceptance of either Peirce or Saussure approaches.
