- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 38-year-old man who developed a movement disorder which worsened after onset of psychosis. The patient was diagnosed with schizophrenia and therefore he was administered olanzapine, risperidone and quetiapine at different times but his symptoms did not improve. On assessment 6 months after discharge, the patient still showed moderate psychiatric illness, thus highlighting how the presence of a movement disorder can be part of a psychotic prodrome.
