- Abstract
The article discusses how mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) can be used as a possible therapy for idiopathic membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN). It compares idiopathic MPGN (IMPGN) with other primary and secondary forms of glomerular diseases. It also explains the efficiency of MMF as an antimetabolite agent. It suggests that MMF may have a role in treating IMPGN. Likewise, it recommends further randomized studies with extended follow-up and sufficient sample size.
