- Abstract
The article focuses on rise in infection level observed with emerging and re-emerging pathogens in Europe. Topics discussed include skin infections as the most common infections reported in refugee population in Europe, Zika virus (ZIKV) declared as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on February 1, 2016, and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERSCoV) described as severe respiratory syndrome in Saudi Arabia in 2012.
