- Abstract
The article discusses the experiences of the Neufeld family, a Mennonite family from Eschenhorst, West Prussia (later Poland) during and after World War II. It particularly examines their son Hans-Peter, commenting on his education during the war. It notes that the father, Helmut Sr., was conscripted to fight for Germany and became a prisoner of war. The author discusses the family's residence in West Germany after the war and their eventual move to Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Hans-Peter's marriage to Antoinette Philin and the death of their son Peter Carl are also noted.
