- Abstract
The article presents a research study which describes an integrative genetics approach for identifying candidate genes regulating bone mass density. The approach combines linkage analysis, expression quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping, genetic association, and causality modeling. Three chromosome 11 single nucleotide polymorphisms were associated with bone mass density within the Bmd11 QTL. The approach shows support for the genes Wnt9a, Rasd1, or both underlying Bmd11.
